*Laptop, Tabs factory proposed for region
The Federal Government in collaboration with the 9 Niger Delta states and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) will launch a pilot of the Niger Delta Digital Learning programme this September.
The initiative will transform the education of primary and secondary school students in the region by replacing antiquated traditional teaching methods and textbooks with digital content delivered through tablet computers and mobile devices.
This will standardise the learning process, improve teacher’s productivity and increase student’s learning capacity. The programme will help the region to develop its human capacity in line with the Federal Government’s commitment to invest in human capital development as expressed in the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP).
More details will be released in the coming days.
